This is a collection of my speaking board games which are ideal for independent work. They can be used for any language. They are ideal for GCSE role play revision, but can also be excellent preparation for the listening and reading examinations. There are some ideas on how to use the boards. You may like to give pupils dice and some counters, but you can also play with them when the board is projected on your whiteboards (to save printing costs).

Gameboards for holidays and leisure. Print them out in colour A3 size. You will need counters and dice. There are suggestions on how to use them. I have uploaded boards for the other GCSE topics too. Very good for independent learning, encouraging spontaneous speaking (group talk) and GCSE revision. DO let me know if you think it needs altering in any way.

Reading and Listening practice for GCSE Higher pupils and A2 introduction to environment. Reading comprehension acitivities with link to short video clip with speaking / listening activity at the end. After watching the video a few times, pupils can try to piece together the short (but fast) dialogue by speed dating around the room (and thereby practising it many times with different people)

Present and perfect tense of reflexive verbs. Two worksheets with gaps to fill in the correct part of the verb. One refers to normal routine and the other refers to a specific day in the past.

Introducing adjectives of description and adjective agreement. Made to accompany Studio 1.

Lesson to teach prepositions and furniture in room with short writing task and speaking task.

A worked example of ideas in response to a stimulus card on tattoos and physical appearance. I used it for revision on how to prepare answers for the speaking examination. Can be used as a brainstorm of ideas.

This is a checklist I give to my class when they are writing or preparing passages which may later be used to create drafts for assessments. The box for controlled assessment phrases refers to the lists of useful coursework phrases from mfl Sunderland.

This is just a revision work pack I gave to my lower ability year 8 set to help them to prepare for the end of module test.

To accompany Studio 2 vert Module 5 unite 5 - unit is based on a talent show. To encourage using a variety of structures (verb + infinitive). Ppt and worksheets. Requires knowledge of devoir, aller, pouvoir, vouloir (half paradigm only). Includes blockbusters games as consolidation at the end.

Either for GCSE revision or as introduction for Y8/9, this introduces household chores vocabulary in present and perfect tenses and with je dois....
